The Map
The map, by Gloucester based illustrator Holly Mae Gooch, displays 8 important historic buildings in the city centre where local musicians, artists, poets, songwriters and singers met for 8 different one off sessions to create, record and film new original songs.
Holly Mae Gooch - illustrator
I know Holly because she works for the Gloucester Guildhall & Blackfriars team. I can't remember when I first noticed her work as an illustrator. It must have been Facebook! I loved her drawings of dogs and keenly appreciated any posts that featured her drawing skills in my feed. This project was the ideal opportunity for me to support a really talented local creative professional. I'm hoping that SPACES gains lots of attention not just for my practice but for everyone else involved and especially Holly's contribution because it is an amazing map and I love the individual illustrations of each building. What she has created is so valuable to my project.
I highly recommend Holly if you need a professional illustrator. Find her here.
